Description - What to expect

In this 4-day Stockholm hiking, you will discover the wild side of Sweden, walk across immense forests, and around clean water lakes. You will be self-sufficient during the entire trip, which means camping in the wilderness and cooking your food on a wood fire that you set together with your instructor. This is great teamwork and you will be encouraged to participate in all activities during the day.

Stockholm Hiking Itinerary
◾ Day 1: Meet your guide and depart from the south of Stockholm at 9 am and head to a forest near a small town called Gnesta. Check once again your supplies and start the hike by following a path for about an hour, the perfect amount of time to make sure that your gear is well adjusted. At that point, the real adventure starts as we walk off the beaten track, not following a specific path, without any signs of human activity, nothing related to civilization, the perfect setting if you want to really feel the wilderness and get away. Around noon, sit down to enjoy lunch, and later on, after continuing your hike stop in a perfect spot for the night. You will be camping next to a lake and you can even swim in its clear waters. Make a fire and cook a delicious meal on it, before you go to bed.

◾ Day 2: Wake up around 8 am, build a fire to prepare breakfast, pack the tents and take your time before getting started for a full day hike. Today you are going to hike deep inside the forest and if you are lucky you may spot wild animals in their natural habitat. Stop on the shores of another lake in the evening to set up the camp. You might feel like having a dip in the water and warm up around the fire we have set while you were swimming and enjoying a nice meal that we prepared together.

◾ Day 3: Wake up again refreshed and prepare your breakfast and coffee before you pack your things and continue your Stockholm hiking adventure through dense forest. You will fill almost overwhelmed by this pristine nature surrounding you and the absolute serenity that fills you up. We will use this day to walk along Likstammen Lake which offers a great view of the lake and its islands. Nothing better after 2 days in this dense forest. A fantastic camping spot for the last night is waiting for you, right on the sunset next to the long Likstammen Lake. Enjoy your last night in the wilderness of Sweden with a delicious dinner and hear stories and tales about the area.

◾ Day 4: Once again wake up early, set the campfire on to prepare your breakfast, and pack your things to prepare for your return journey. From 7 am, it’s the same morning routine, we set a campfire to prepare the breakfast and then start to pack the tents, take one last picture if you want and we’re on the move again. Today you will hike through another part of this large forest and enjoy different natural landscapes. Later in the morning, you will reach one more lake and from there you will follow a path that will bring us back to the parked vehicle, but not before having a lunch break and setting one more campfire to eat while admiring the amazing view one last time. Then it’s time to finish your Stockholm hiking and head back to civilization full of amazing impressions and unforgettable memories.
