Description - What to expect
Take a Mount Olympus Trek and reach the summit, the legendary Mytikas at an elevation of 2.918 meters in one day using a lesser-known but very beautiful route!Meet your guide In Kalivia village and with a 4×4 vehicle head towards the mountain hut Christakis. The first 20 kilometers up to the location is a tarmac road. Then it becomes a dirt road for another 22 kilometers (about a 1-hour drive) until you reach the mountain hut at 2,430 meters altitude. From here you will continue on foot for the rest of the ascent to the summit.
Follow the E4 European Trail for approximately 60 to 70 minutes and then traverse the peak of Skolio at an altitude of 2.912 m until you reach Skala. The most difficult part of your Mount Olympus trek starts here. Hike up to Kakoskala and scramble your way up to Mytikas at an elevation of 2.918 meters. Admire incredible panoramic views before you start your careful descent. The total duration for this part of the hike depends on the size of our group, their previous experience, and fitness level. It may last between 2-4 hours.
This tour is ideal for those who don’t want to hike all the way up to the mountain top yet don’t want to miss out on the beauty of this legendary mountain!
