Description - What to expect

Upon arrival at the wilderness center of Camp Tamok, get fitted with all the warm clothes and boots provided and choose which activity you prefer to start off your day. You will have the option of dog Sledding, snowmobiling or reindeer sledding, depending on availability. If you choose snowmobiling your instructor will demonstrate to you how to safely operate the vehicle and give you an overview of the adventure ahead.

You will be driving in pairs, one driver and one passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch places during the trip. Hop on your snowmobile and drive past scenic mountains and through the dramatic snow-covered Finndalen valley.

After the daytime activity, and before embarking on the evening adventure you will enjoy free time at the camp. From the 20th of December, you will have the option to visit Tromsø Ice Domes on a guided tour during that time. The unique environment at the camp is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the silence.

In the afternoon, once again you will have the choice of another exciting activity including dog and reindeer sledding. Say hello to a bunch of barking huskies that are ready for action (but still very friendly). If you choose this activity you´ll drive the dog sled into the white landscapes, through a beautiful valley - an uninhabited forest landscape surrounded by majestic mountains. Experienced mushers will provide instructions about how to drive a dog team.

Upon your return to the Camp you will be served a hot meal and fresh coffee in the dining lavvu After having your meal, your bus will take you back to downtown Tromsø.

Please note that during this Tromso activities tour you have the option of combining two different activities that better suit your interests. Let us know during the booking which combination you prefer. In case the combination of activities you are requesting is not available the supplier will suggest you another combination.
