Description - What to expect
Take a day cruise to famous Sivota and the Blue Lagoon from Corfu, and upon your departure, admire beautiful views of the old town and its two Venetian fortresses. You will be sailing south along the Kanoni peninsula towards Plataria and Sivota with views of the famous Palace of Mon Repos, the birthplace of Prince Phillip.Head south, parallel to the mainland, passing the capital city of the Thesprotia region, Igoumenitsa, the small fishing village of Plataria and the Sivota Islands, where the boat enters the breathtaking cave of Sivota. Arrive at the traditional town of Sivota and get plenty of time to stroll around and window-shop the souvenir shops. Enjoy a drink in a traditional seaside café or go for a 5-minute walk to the beach to swim in the Ionian Sea.
Make your way back towards Corfu and drop anchor at the Blue Lagoon, a location full of legends about pirates mooring their ships in the Middle Ages. Drop anchor close to the beach for about 2.5 hours and enjoy swimming in the lagoon’s exotic blue waters before sailing back to port in Corfu Town.
