Description - What to expect

Start your Zion National Park tour heading north departing from Las Vegas. The park got its name from the Mormons who settled in the area. They gave it this name after claiming that visiting the park is like a religious experience. The majesty of the mountains and the silence of the wilderness make you feel like you have been transported to another place.

Tour the park and enjoy a short walking trail along the Virgin River that runs through the park. On your way back to Las Vegas, stop for a lunch break (at your own expense) and then visit the Valley of Fire, Nevada's first and most scenic state park. The name Valley of Fire reflects the magnificent red sandstone formations, created from shifting sands and dunes during the age of the dinosaurs more than 150 million years ago.

Admire the massive sandstone cliffs of pink, and red that stand against the backdrop of a bright blue sky. The Valley of Fire visit is timed so that you are able to see the appearance of the valley on fire when reflecting the sun’s strong rays (weather permitting). Later, depart the valley for an evening return to the starting point.
