Overview
Lets go to hiking with me on this private day tour & discover the Zeus mountain highest of Crete on a day tour.
I was born and raised in the old city of Chania, in Crete. While I live here, it will be my pleasure to show you the mountains of my home area!
I am a professional mountaineer, mountain guide and instructor. I have many years of experience working as a mountain guide in Greece, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Nepal, Tibet, Pakistan and on the western side of the USA.
I created this tour for you to be able to visit the Psiloritis Mountain with highest peak on the island and with the best view of Crete. Mountain with a lot of pass history mountain of Zeus As he grew up there! The Mountain of Daedalus and Icarus flight way from Crete! The mountain of Nikos Kazantzakis, a great writer who invented the sirtaki together with Alexis Zorbas. And for sure area with nice local food and hospitality!
I will be happy to show you the secret path I use when I want to calm down from the noise of the city!

Description - What to expect
Transfer time from Rethymnon city to Livadia village up to Mugeros Valle 1 hourOur day start in the morning. We will drive one hour all the way up to Migero valley
On the way a small stop for a small break for coffee and c.o, for 30 min.
And then we continuum by car to Migeros plateau a sort break to pripering our pack back and c. o. 10 min
Hiking time to Timios Stavros 2. 456m summit of Psiloritis Mountain (IDA) 2H30 min to 3 Hours max on the way to the summit for sure we will have a small breaks on the way up!
We arrival to the summit time for resting time for pictures and to eat our small snack 30 min.
Hiking time back to plateau of Migeros from 2 to 3 hours
After we go to Anogia village to have local traditional meal the famous Antikristo
with a special open fire cooking. about for 50 min
After the meal transfer time back to Rethymnon 1 Hour 2 hours to Chania
