You'll meet a history of outrageous drag queens, book store bombings, and the unsung heroes who forever changed the social fabric of our city.

Description - What to expect

Meet your guide - the man in pink! - outside Vancouver City Centre Skytrain Station on West Georgia Street. You'll embark on a 2-hour adventure into the LGBTQ2+ history and culture of this West Coast metropolis.

You'll be led to Vancouver's entertainment scene on Granville Street, weave a path through Imperial Court coronations, kiss in's, drag kings, gay ministers at the United Church, Patient Zero, and the GRID crisis, until you find yourself in the gaybourhood on Davie Street.

Stroll the historic West End as you discover the city's earliest Pride parade, Jim Deva Plaza, bookstore bombings, a transgender campaigner who blew the whistle on the biggest crime in Vancouver history, and the remarkable story of two-spirited warrior Gone to the Spirits.

You'll finish right in the middle of the action in the Davie Street village with its variety of bars and restaurants. The perfect place to enjoy a post-walking tour cocktail as you reflect on your afternoon's adventure!

We allow emotional support and service dogs on the tour only. Some guests may feel uneasy around dogs.
◾ Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
Yes, though there are some bumpy sidewalks.
◾ Can I bring my children?
This tour is recommended for 14+, though parents and guardians this is left up to your discretion. If you are comfortable with your child hearing about some mature themes, then our tours may be just fine for your children. Anyone under the age of 18, must be accompanied by an adult.

- Walking tours will take place completely outside.
- Temporary limit on group size of 20 on our public tours.
- Optional mask wearing and physical distancing for guests.
- Guests who are feeling ill, or have been in contact with anyone ill in the previous two weeks, should not attend.

These safety measures act in accordance with the guidelines set by the Province of British Columbia.
