Description - What to expect

Start your Kos to Nisyros experience with a convenient pick-up from your hotel and a drive to the port of Kardamena for an hour's cruise to Nisyros. A bus will be waiting for you to take you to the famous volcano, a short drive away. Listen to your informative guide and learn all about the volcano and the history of the island.

Once inside the crater of the volcano, feel the force of the lava rumbling deep beneath your feet and witness the bubbling mud pools and steam geysers, making you think you have landed on the moon!

Arriving back at the port visit the picturesque town of Mandraki and take a short walk around to admire its beautiful blue and white painted houses. Then visit the monastery of Panagia Spiliani, one of the most beautiful monasteries in the Greek Islands.

Returning to town you will still have time for lunch (not included) or for some shopping, before embarking on the boat at 4.00 pm for your return to Kos.
