Walk through the olive grovesStroll through the impressive olive grove, touch, feel and even listen to the ancient trees. You will admire grove’s fully developed trees and depending on the season you will see the olives growing, a wealth of nutrients and flavours drawing from the composition and quality of the soil. The Estate has never employed intensive farming and harvesting methods in the belief that the land is a natural botanical garden where local self-sowing flora thrives. The estate is home to an abundance of wildflowers blooming at every season.
From the grove to the mill
You will have the opportunity to see a real olive mill and learn about the mechanical methods of extraction and the different processes employed until the final product is packed for distribution. Our olives are harvested entirely by the gentlest methods to minimize damage to the delicate fruit. The olives fall on to special protective nets, are transferred into sacks woven out of natural material, and taken to the extraction press on a daily basis. While the essence of our techniques remains profoundly traditional the pressing stage benefits from the precision of the state of the art equipment.
