Description - What to expect

Say hello to a bunch of barking huskies that are ready for action (but still very friendly). Take a Tromso dog sledding tour and drive the dog sled into the white landscapes, through the beautiful Vassdalen Valley - an uninhabited forest landscape surrounded by majestic mountains.

On arrival at our wilderness camp, you'll receive outdoor clothes and boots to keep you warm during your stay. Experienced mushers will provide instructions about how to drive a dog team.

You will be driving in pairs, one driver and one passenger on each sled, with the opportunity to switch places halfway. The trails you follow have a total distance of approximately 10-12 km, and you will be on the sled for about 1.5-2 hours. Enjoy the cool winter air as you slide on the snow by headlamp into the mountains, looking eagerly for the elusive Northern Lights and their spectacular displays whirling in the sky above you.

At the end of the trail, you will return to Camp Tamok, where you will be served a hot meal and fresh coffee before you head off back to Tromsø where your adventure will come to an end.

Bring with you
