Description - What to expect

Meet your host in the reception of the Kritsa Gastronomy Hotel in Beautiful Portaria and drive for about 2 km to the Karaiskos Organic Farm. The farm is the perfect setting, ideally set on the slopes of Mt Pelion overlooking the Pagasitikos bay, for your Moussaka cooking lesson experience. Get welcomed with a drink and tour the organic garden to appreciate the harmony and beauty the place has to offer and collect ingredients you will need for your cooking lesson.

Learn from your experienced cook how to prepare the aubergines, the main ingredient in Moussaka, together with all the other freshly picked vegetables from the garden. Prepare the special cream dressing and place the food in the wooden oven to bake gently. While your Moussaka is still in the oven prepare some seasonal Greek salads and a tasty fried cheese treat called Saganaki. Finally, learn to make a delicious semolina pudding with raisins called Halvah.

During your cooking lesson entertain yourself with some local delicacies and appetizers seeping happily the famous local spirit called Tsipouro. After food is ready sit down to enjoy your Moussaka meal accompanied by Greek salads and plenty of drinks marveling at the stunning view of the glittering bay at the distance. A bag with small gifts and wonderful memories will be handed to you by your host upon your departure.
