Description - What to expect
Upon arrival at Camp Tamok, you will be outfitted with all the necessary Arctic gear, including a thermal suit, boots, gloves, and a helmet, to keep you warm and comfortable throughout your adventure. Before setting off, our experienced guides will provide a full safety briefing and detailed instructions on how to operate a snowmobile, ensuring everyone feels confident and secure.Your Tromsø snowmobile safari begins as you follow your guide along pristine snowy trails surrounded by breathtaking Arctic landscapes. Glide through snow-covered valleys, past towering mountains, and across frozen rivers and lakes. Each snowmobile is shared by two participants, giving you the chance to experience the thrill of driving as well as relaxing as a passenger. Midway through the tour, we’ll stop for a short break, where you can swap places and continue your adventure from a new perspective.
After an unforgettable ride through the wilderness, you’ll return to Camp Tamok, where a warm and hearty meal will be served inside a traditional Sámi lavvu (indigenous tent), offering the perfect ending to your Arctic journey.

◾Two people can share one snowmobile and even change drivers during the tour◾You need to be minimum 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license to operate a snowmobile.
◾Passengers need to be minimum 7 years old.
◾Maximum one child per adult
◾Drivers and passengers must be a minimum of 130cm in height to meet the safety requirements.
◾Pregnant people are not allowed to participate in this tour.
◾Due to the dramatic topography, a reduced speed is maintained during some parts of the tour.
◾During peak season, we might split the group to avoid large groups. Half of the group will start with a warm meal in the lavvu before heading out on their snowmobile tour.
◾The duration of the snowmobiling activity is about 1,5 hours. This can differ day to day, depending on snow and weather conditions.
◾Self-liability can be reduced to NOK 1000 by paying a waiver supplement of NOK 300 per snowmobile safari driver.
◾Evening Tour at 5.00 pm Although this tour does not focus on chasing the northern lights, as we will venture into total darkness, we might get lucky and witness them while being out on the tour, adding an extra touch of magic to this evening adventure.
