Start your Elephant sanctuary tour with a hotel pick-up from Chiang Mai city center and then take a 1-hour ride to the countryside of Mae Tang district until you get to the Elephant Retirement Park in Chiang Mai. Meet your English-speaking guide and host and get changed into the local clothes to be ready for the fun that follows.Your guide will provide information about the elephants' behavior and how to properly care for them. Then, prepare food and healthy treats for the elephants before you and the elephants walk to play in the mud and sand spa. During this time, you can touch and interact with the elephants at your leisure while you learn about their behavior.
After your fun time with the elephants is over, change your clothes, shower, and enjoy a delicious traditional Thai buffet lunch, suitable for vegetarians. To end your Elephant sanctuary tour, you will take the 1-hour journey back to the city and will be transferred back to your hotel in Chiang Mai city center.
