Description - What to expect

Meet your English-speaking tour leader just before 09:00 am and start your Tuscany tour in the comfort of an 8-seat minivan towards Monteriggioni, a 13th-century medieval town that was the stage for the famous movie “The Gladiator”. Here you will be able to marvel at wonderful views of the Tuscan countryside from the ancient walls and do your shopping in the small shops selling locally made souvenirs.

Continue with a visit to the historic city of Siena and get enchanted by the cathedral's architectural styles and the old palace in Piazza del Campo, the venue of the famous Palio horse race held twice a year in July and August. After an orientation walk led by your guide, take some free time to explore the town at your convenience. Sit down in one of the numerous cafes and relax watching the passersby.

Next to your Tuscany tour, drive to San Gimignano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most famous walled medieval hill town in Tuscany. The town is also known as the "Manhattan of Tuscany" due to the many old towers. Benefit from your knowledgeable guide and learn all about the area and its history. Spend some time wandering around the town through its narrow alleys and try some of the Tuscan delicacies in the local shops. Don't miss trying some of the famous gelato produced in the area.

Continue your Tuscany tour winding through the rolling hills of Chianti admiring the endless strips of vineyards, olive trees, cypresses, and everything that makes this land a dream-like place. Stop at a local winery surrounded by vines, flowers, and olive groves for a wine and olive oil tasting experience. Taste up to 4 different wines including the famous Chianti Classico wine and Chianti Classico Riserva. Then drive back to Florence where you will be expected to be at around 6.00 pm.
