Description - What to expectDuring your Pelion cooking class, we will introduce our guests to authentic home-made recipes in an experiential way.
Meet your friendly host and start your Pelion cooking class with a visit to the herbs and organic garden of Amanita Guesthouse to collect the ingredients for the dishes you will prepare. Learn all about the Pelion-style cooking, based largely on locally grown herbs, greens, and vegetables.
With the guidance of your experienced host start preparing two authentic dishes, very popular with local families, described in the Filaretos book “The culinary curiosity of a hotelier”. As the cooking progresses indulge in a glass of a tasteful local spirit, called Tsipouro.
When all is well prepared, it is time to sit back and enjoy the freshly cooked food accompanied by home-made organic wine and listen intriguing stories, among else, about the mythical Centaur which according to mythology lived in Pelion.
What's included, what's notDinner includes appetizers, salad, local cheese, home-made bread and two courses cooked by our guests. For dessert, we will serve home-made local fruit sweets for which the whole Pelion is famous for. The content of the first and main courses depend on the season and the production of our garden
