During "Make Your Own Greek Souvenir workshop", you will follow a presentation on the actual making of a small piece of souvenir working with a lathe on a mastic piece of wood.

You will learn all about the local woods like the mastic, the terebinth, and the olive tree, along with the European kinds like the ash and the maple tree and some of the tropical ones, like the purple heart, the ebony, and the Bubinga tree.

Greek craftsmanship is a big part of our history and culture and our local expert will introduce you to the traditional tools people used at that time, like the Surfacing plane, the Block plane, the saws, the Router plane, the Gouges, the Spokeshave, the Tap, and the Die Wood Threading tool.
