Description - What to expect
Your Crete horse riding experience starts early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel and a drive to the village of Finikia, a short distance from Heraklion, where you will get a warm welcome from your hosts! You will have the time to explore the beautiful scenery around, have a look at the horses and enjoy a freshly brewed coffee.Listen to your host and tour guide and learn the basics about riding. You will be assisted to enjoy your riding on a friendly horse or if you prefer jump onto a wagon, to enjoy relaxed riding. After about a 1-hour of riding you will get to the top of the hill for your first stop to enjoy some fresh fruits. The view is magical and it is the perfect spot for some beautifully memorable photos. More advanced riders will have the chance to ride at a faster pace.
Continue your Crete horse riding towards the farm for another hour or so. Once back a Greek traditional lunch freshly cooked will be served for all the guests. You may combine your lunch with homemade wine and raki. After lunch, you may even want to have a small riding experience inside the ring before your experience comes to an end and you are driven back to your hotel.
