Your ascent to the mountain will last 3-4 hours depending on the skills of the participants. Your guide will make sure that the climbing rate is appropriate for the group. After 3 - 4 hours, you will reach the summit, the highest peak of Cape Verde at 2829 meters. From there, take in 360-degree panoramic views of Fogo Island, and the neighboring islands if the weather is clear.

Use this hike to experience the unique sensation of touching the sky above the clouds while around you all you can see is deep black lava intermingled with lush green vegetation.
