Description - What to expect

Meet your host in the reception of the Kritsa Gastronomy Hotel in Beautiful Portaria and drive for about 2 km to the Karaiskos Organic Farm. The farm is the perfect setting, ideally set on the slopes of Mt Pelion overlooking the Pagasitikos bay, for your Pelion cooking class experience. Get welcomed with a drink and tour the organic garden to appreciate the harmony and beauty the place has to offer and collect the ingredients you will need for your cooking lesson.

Learn how to cook with what the fertile land of Pelion produces. You will cook "Briam" (oven-baked vegetables) with various seasonal vegetables gathered from the garden. Until the “Briam” is ready, you will prepare a delicious Pesto Pasta. Your chef will teach you how to prepare a local pasta called “hilopites” and homemade basil sauce. Enhance your cooking class experience with some extra recipes including the world-famous yogurt dip – tzatziki - with herbs collected directly from the garden.

During your cooking lesson entertain yourself with some local delicacies and appetizers seeping happily the famous local spirit called Tsipouro. After food is ready sit down to enjoy your creations accompanied by seasonal Greek salads and plenty of drinks. A bag with small gifts and wonderful memories will be handed to you by your host upon your departure.
