Description - What to expect
Start your Jeep safari tour from Ioannina and head towards Konitsa before arriving at Pades village, where will get a taste of Aoos valley and have coffee in the beautiful mount Smolikas village square.Thereafter, depart for the highlands for some easy hikes to the Smolikas pyramid and views of lake Drakolimni and the beautifully spread mountain ranges. Return to Pades village for relaxation and food in the wonderful local taverna run by Nikos and Sofi. On the way to Pades, you will pass the Aoos river into Vrisochori and Iliochori villages to visit the waterfall " Balta Di Striga".
Next drive to Giftokampos, to experience the life of Sarakatsans, a tribe living in this part of Greece for centuries. Conclude jeep safari tour, with a visit to the beautiful villages of Zagorohoria. Drive from Skamneli to Kapesovo and Dilofo to explore the unseen side of the Aoos valley for an unforgettable experience.
