Description - What to expect

Stockholm Archipelago

◾ Day 1: Meet your tour guide and instructor in the supplier's office south of Stockholm and head to Dalarö, a charming little village, to start your adventure. After a safety briefing, start paddling between the numerous different islands that dot this part of the Stockholm Archipelago. Later on, stop for lunch on one of these uninhabited islands and prepare a nice meal cooked on a campfire. Take time to rest and get immersed in this fantastic scene where the only sound you can hear is that of singing birds.

Once again hop inside your kayak for another mile or so to enjoy more relaxed paddling and spot the best place for camping. Prepare a campfire and dinner relaxing and learn about the area and its history. Weather permitting you may decide to paddle to the island of Kaston, a nature reserve, and a seal nesting area. You might spot one of them popping his head out of the water!

◾Day 2: Get up early to pack your stuff, have a nice breakfast and a coffee, and get back in the water for a more exciting Stockholm Archipelago time. Explore other islands and admire fantastic landscapes in this part of the Stockholm Archipelago which is probably one of the nicest and wildest. Make a stop in one of the islands to rest and prepare your lunch while taking in the surrounding natural beauty.

Watch out for sea eagles circling around the islands, and other numerous migratory birds including different types of geese or famous great cormorants flying over the horizon in the direction to the north. In this part of the Stockholm Archipelago, the rocks and even the trees have distinct shapes because of the stronger erosion. You will stop in the islands of Langholmen for the night, prepare a campfire, and even take a dip into the calm Baltic Sea.

◾ Day 3: Wake up early again, have breakfast and start your return journey paddling back to the starting point. On the way back, stop to climb on a cliff for a magnificent view over the whole south Stockholm Archipelago. Your Stockholm Archipelago adventure will come to an end once arriving at the peer. You will tidy up your kayaks and get ready to return back to Stockholm, full of amazing impressions and unforgettable memories.
