Description - What to expect

Your half-day sea kayak tour starts at Yialasi Beach, located a short walk from the center of Epidavros. Once you have received brief instructions by your tour leader board your kayak and start paddling towards the Sunken City, also known as Argolida’s Lost Atlantis, with a great view of the imposing Volcano of Methana.

The city was built 1200 BC and in parts is well preserved. You can easily see its remains only a few meters below the surface of the sea and close to the shore, making it a unique location for underwater exploration. When you reach the spot with your kayak, try for yourself some exciting snorkeling around the place admiring the ancient underwater structures.

Next, paddle your way towards the Small Theatre of Epidavros, next to the port of Palia Epidavros. The ancient theatre was used for theatrical performances as well as other religious and political celebrations. After several excavations and much restoration work performed over the last decades, the Epidavros Small Theatre hosts the annual Greek Festival, celebrated in summer with music, dance, and theatrical performances.

Before your sunken city Kayak tour comes to an end visit the Athina Ecofarm to relax and taste a delicious meal made of organic products grown in the area. Then, it is time to head back to Yialasi Beach for the finale of your tour.
