Description - What to expect
Your Stockholm hiking and snowshoe tour takes place through a variety of taiga forests and deciduous forests, crossing solidly frozen lakes using safety equipment and snowshoes providing traction and stability. When on land you will clip your snowshoes back to your packs and walk onto the rocky ground. You will be hiking up until you reach some amazing viewpoints overlooking endless forests. If weather permits your guide will lead you towards the archipelago to admire a plethora of islands surrounded by ice.If you are lucky you may be able to walk on freshly fallen snow which makes it perfect for tracking and identifying animals leaving their prints on the fresh snow. In most cases, the tracks are from roedeer and moose. Woodpeckers and other birds can be seen frequently, and beaver marks are common to stumble upon as well! We might even go around and spot their dam.
