Description - What to expect

Dog sledding has been used for travel and hunting for centuries throughout the Arctic region. Dog sledding consists of a musher, a sled, and one or more dogs. Be part of an authentic Arctic adventure when driving your own team of dogs on the outskirts of Tromsø. You'll get some great advice from your guide to help you have a wonderful experience as a musher and become one with nature. All our 84 friendly Alaskan huskies have names and different personalities. They love to run and receive cuddles.

You will be picked up from Tromsø city center for a 50 minutes drive to Aurora Alps through incredible arctic landscapes including fjords, snow-capped mountains, waterfalls, and picturesque villages. Upon your arrival at Breivikeidet base, you will meet your guide receiving useful advice and tips about controlling the dog sled and you will be given warm clothing and winter boots to wear.

Now you are ready for your 1.5-hour dog sledding experience on a polar night. Enjoy the cool winter air as you slide on the snow by headlamp into the mountains, looking eagerly for the elusive Northern Lights and their spectacular displays whirling in the sky above you.

After your incredible experience is over enjoy a delicious snack with tea or coffee before you head off back to Tromsø where your adventure will come to an end.
