Description - What to expect

This ride is available daily. For those appreciating the morning sunlight, the ride is being offered from 08.00 to 10.00 or in the late afternoon from 17.30 to 19.30. During these hours it is not too hot to ride and it is ideal to admire the beauty of this magical place.

As this Chania horse riding is at a walking pace, it is perfectly suitable for anyone above the age of 8 to have a try. No previous riding experience is required, as all will be well explained in a safety briefing given before the ride.

The horses of the least experienced riders can be taken on a lead rope while others can ride freely. Guaranteed to be an unforgettable family excursion! For your comfort and safety, we kindly ask you to wear long trousers and closed-toe shoes.

◾ Coming from the direction of Rethymnon:
Take the national road towards Chania. After a 20 to 25-minute drive, you will find a Silk Oil gasoline station on your left and lots of big hotels along the seaside. Carefully turn left at Vantaris Beach Hotel (wooden bus stop on your left). At the end of this street turn right at the hairdresser. Then take the first asphalted/tarmac road to the left (direction of Lake Kournas) and follow the signs from there on.

◾ Coming from the direction of Chania:
Take the national road towards Rethymnon. Pass the village of Georgioupolis remaining on the national road. You will pass the newly built Anemos Grand Luxury Resort on your right. Turn right at the first asphalted/tarmac road (wooden bus stop on your right, just opposite of Vantaris Beach Hotel). At the end of this street turn right at the hairdresser. Then take the first asphalted/tarmac road to the left (direction of Lake Kournas) and follow the signs from there on.
