Description - What to expect

Start your Casablanca to Rabat tour with a pick-up from your hotel in Casablanca and head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Orthodox Muslim Arabs built the city from Spain, who decided to settle near the Chellah necropolis. The origins of the necropolis stretch back to the Phoenician and Roman eras. You will start your city tour at Dar El Makhzen (Royal Palace) with a stop to admire the exterior. The palace dates back to 1864 and presently houses the prime minister’s office, the Imperial College, the Ahl Fas mosque, a small racetrack, and the barracks of the Black Guard

Opposite the palace, you see the Mohamed V University, Morocco’s largest university, and walk past the Hassan Tower. Visit the Mohamed V Mausoleum and marvel at the tiles decorating the walls of the burial chamber. It is said that 400 Moroccan craftsmen were employed to build this monument. Proceed to the Kasbah to see the Oudaya gate on the northern side and walk along the Rue des Consuls, the architecturally most exciting street in the Medina. Finally, go to Souika Street, the busiest shopping street in the Medina of Rabat. Your Casablanca to Rabat tour ends with a transfer back to your hotel in Casablanca.
