Description - What to expect
The golden beach of Santa Barbara in Perivoli, southwest Corfu, is the starting point for your Corfu diving in the deep blue. Your diving course lets you experience the wonder of diving under the supervision of an experienced instructor in ideal conditions. During the Corfu diving class, you will master some basic concepts and scuba skills. Open water dive could take you as deep as 7 meters.Once you arrive at the diving center at Santa Barbara Beach, you will be introduced to your instructors, and you are going to complete the necessary paperwork for your dives. Soon after, you will have an introductory course on how to use scuba gear and learn about the history of scuba diving. You will first dive in shallow water to learn how to use scuba equipment and how to breathe through the regulator. Then, you will have a fun dive in shallow water for 30-40 minutes in a reef near Santa Barbara Beach.
Then try your second dive this time by the boat at the reef of Megachoros in-depth -6 meters for 40 minutes. With underwater visibility at about 10 meters, you will see large seagrass beds, large blocks of stone, and small caves full of corals and shells. Herds of pike and sardines may be seen nearby, while an encounter with the most beautiful turtle of the Mediterranean Sea - Caretta Caretta is also possible.
