Description - What to expect

Your full-day Petra tour in Jordan starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Taba and an early morning transfer via a modern air-conditioned vehicle to the port where you will board the ferry to Aqaba port. At Aqaba port, get assistance and a transfer directly to Petra, about two hours to the north.

Petra is a spectacular rock-carved city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. UNESCO has described the old city as "one of the most precious cultural properties of man's cultural heritage". You will be amazed by the surrounding towering rust-colored sandstones creating natural protection and the craftsmanship of the gigantic monolithic carves. Ride a horse to the Siq (canyon), a spectacular crack in the rocks, the Roman Theatre, and visit the Royal Tombs, the Roman colonnaded street, the Qasr Al-Bent, and then the archaeological museum.

Enjoy a delicious lunch before you are driven back to Aqaba city for a short city tour and free time for shopping. Then back on to your boat for your sail back to Taba port, where you will be assisted and transferred to your hotel.
