Description - What to expect

Start your wineries and wine tasting tour with a pick up from Kamari or Thera. Meet your expert guide and proceed to visit the three best wineries on the island. Taste some excellent quality Santorinian wines and learn about the history of winemaking in Santorini famous for its grape varieties grown on volcanic soil.

First, visit Koutsoyannopoulos winery established back in 1861. Learn all about winemaking from the experts that hold a long winemaking tradition and taste some of their top quality wines, paired with delicious appetizers. Don't miss to visit the Wine Museum, being the only one of its kind in Greece, located in a natural cave. It is eight meters below ground, 300 meters long, and has a labyrinth-like shape. The Wine Museum presents the history of wine and the life of vine-growers in Santorini from 1660 to 1970.

Next, visit Venetsanos winery, located in the most breathtaking location, with incredible views over the Caldera and the entire island. The winery was established in 1947 and is famous for its top-quality volcanic wines. The winery today offers you the chance to walk through and discover the history and tradition as well as modern winemaking techniques. Take a tour of the winery guided by an expert and taste some of the aromatic wines available.

Finally, visit Roussos winery, one of the most traditional wineries in Santorini, with a long tradition in winemaking. Taste a selection of wines produced in the winery and listen to the professional guide learning all about the local varieties used and the specific methods used in the process that make these wines so exceptional.

Your tour is concluded with a transfer back to Thera or Kamari
