Description - What to expect
Take a guided Mayan tour of Punta Laguna Nature Reserve and the Mayan Coba ruins, once one of the largest pre-Hispanic settlements in northern Yucatan. You will visit five main architectural groupings, including a climb to the Nohoch Mul Temple. After an extensive tour of the archeological site, you will visit the Punta Laguna Nature Reserve on a bike where you will find monkeys, exotic birds, and indigenous vegetation.Then, paddle a canoe on the calm waters and enjoy a zipline over the Coba lakes. Continue your Mayan tour with a stop at a family-owned cenote for a relaxing swim and later head to the nearby village of Nuevo Durango for a home meal lunch break with a local family and visit their gardens, medicinal plants and learn about their project that reintroduces endangered animals into the wild.
